Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are looking for an experienced firmware engineer with a passion for building cutting-edge and high-quality consumer electronic products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the firmware running on Wonder Workshop robots
  • Implement firmware interfaces, device drivers, motion control code, and communication protocols
  • Bring up new boards, sensors and platforms
  • Design and implement APIs for the system
  • Work closely with the hardware team to help with component selection and design. Review hardware schematics and datasheets
  • Help develop the controlling code and SDK running on iOS/Android devices
  • Work closely with the software and design teams to build engaging applications for our customers

To be successful as an Embedded Firmware Engineer at Wonder Workshop, you'll need:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with embedded programming & RTOS
  • Experience with kernel development
  • Very strong C, C++ skills
  • Good knowledge of hardware and board design
  • Excellent debugging skills

Our ideal candidate might also have:

  • Experience with camera and other sensors
  • Experience with WiFi and Bluetooth LE
  • Robotics experience
